High Performance

The Twinstar Mark III can be powered by a range of engines, from the 52 hp Rotax 503 to the 100 hp Rotax 912S or Jabiru 2200. To accommodate the more powerful and heavier engines, the Mark III features larger 6-inch diameter, thicker-walled wing spars, additional ribs, and a reinforced drag strut for added strength and stability.

Sturdy Construction

For exceptional strength and durability, aluminum and steel are the ideal materials for airframe structures. The core of the Twinstar Mark III, its fuselage cage, is crafted from robust, factory-welded 4130 chrome-moly steel, with additional 4130 steel reinforcing all high-stress areas for maximum resilience.

Superb Handling

Like all Kolb aircraft, the Mark III features traditional cable and push-pull tube control systems, providing a solid, responsive feel even in turbulent conditions. The increased wing and tail stiffness, along with the higher wing loading, combine to create a stable aircraft, while the half-span ailerons offer excellent roll authority at high speeds and sufficient control at lower speeds to maintain roll stability, even in a stall.
